Last month my parents convinced all of us to head down to West Water Canyon in Moab to float down the Colorado River for three days.
Yes, there were rapids.
And no, they weren't as scary as some youtube videos we watched before we agreed to the trip.
We went in celebration of Zach's mission call to Kiev, Ukraine!
Yeah Zach!!
We took a couple of guides with us who were more like river butlers.
Meaning, they cooked (dutch oven lasagna and cobbler. yum.), cleaned, set up camp, found a tranquil spot with a view for the groover (or as I like to call it MacGruber) and then packed the groover and all of it's nastiness back up, carried all the camping gear and even rowed our boats for us.
It was luxurious.
I want to go again.
This time with bigger rapids.
And this, my friends is my favorite picture.
Not of the beautiful red cliffs of Moab.
But of my Dad, Tyler and Jay with their sweet tatted sleeves.
(Yep. Jay bought them and put them on in the store. And in true Jay fashion came flexing out of the store right up to Tyler to compare whose sleeves were better.
Luckily he had an extra one for my dad who was feeling left out.)
