Soccer
We've had a lot of fun watching the kids play soccer this year. They are on the 3-5 year old team together.Ady has warmed up to it, a little. She loves to play goalie, and will run up and down the field when being cheered on. She's even come close to scoring a couple of goals. But, when asked if she scored a goal, the answer is always yes.
Anders, being one of the youngest on the field, has had a different approach to the game. His reactions are much like this video.
Anders has been seen plucking a dandelion mid-field and making a wish, blowing the seeds right as the soccer ball rolls right past him. Also, he loses his focus when he sees some kids playing with paper airplanes off field and secretly leaves the field to join in the fun. There is a very tempting slide ride next to the soccer field that Anders impatiently waits to play on. I hear all game, "Just one slide mommy? Please? One itsy, teeny-weeny, slide real fast?" I keep saying, "After the game." But Anders isn't one to give up easily. We make our way to the slide during each quartered break and many times in between. I tell him that the team needs his help and his fast legs. So he proceeds to run laps around the soccer field while he's on break. Then when it's his time to go in, he says he's just too tired.
It takes almost as much energy to get Anders out on the field and staying on focus as it does to play the actual game! But he sure does add to the entertainment. :)

thats hillarious
Hah...we've all been through it, watching our little daydreamer on the field. It gets better!
Mason would spin in around and around and then trun right as the ball came to him kick it to the goal and then start right back to what he was doing. love it! Reyna on the other had would never run, just stand in one spot and wait for the ball to come to her!
